XCMG Pavers' Full-Scale Adaptability—From High Temperatures to Severe Cold

XCMG pavers have been proven in harsh environments and can adapt to the construction demands of diverse climates and road types. The average availability rate of key models exceeds 95%. In high-temperature environments, such as summer asphalt pavement construction in southern China (temperatures of 35-40°C), the RP1655, thanks to its optimized heat dissipation system and hydraulic oil cooling device, maintains a stable hydraulic oil temperature of 65-75°C after eight hours of continuous operation without any malfunctions. In extremely cold environments, such as winter road maintenance in Northeast China (temperatures of -25°C to -10°C), the RP953, equipped with an engine preheating system and hydraulic oil heating device, preheats the machine to its normal operating temperature 30 minutes before startup, ensuring normal startup and operation in low-temperature conditions.

XCMG provides customized solutions for different road surface types. In highway construction, large models such as the RP1655 and RP2005, with their wide paving capacity, can pave a single lane in one go, reducing pavement joints. In a highway expansion project, four RP1655s operated simultaneously, completing a 60-kilometer, six-lane, two-way asphalt paving mission in just three months. In municipal road construction, small and medium-sized models such as the RP953, with their flexible maneuverability, can adapt to complex construction sites such as urban intersections and roundabouts. In a major urban road reconstruction project, the RP953 successfully paved a curved pavement around a roundabout using precise steering control, maintaining a pavement flatness error of less than 2mm. In addition, XCMG pavers are adaptable to different materials. Besides conventional asphalt mixtures, they can also lay cement-stable layers and crushed stone layers. During the construction of a municipal road base, the RP1655, equipped with a dedicated cement-stable paving screed, evenly laid a 200mm thick cement-stable layer. After compaction, the density reached over 97%, meeting base construction standards.
