- The milling drum operating handle should be in the neutral position

- Check the integrity and wear of the cutter (milling teeth), and replace damaged or blunt cutters in time.
- Check that the transmission system, belts, chains and other components are not loose or abnormal.
- Test whether the instrument panel, lights and alarm devices are working properly.

Before milling operation, when engaging the milling gear, it should be quickly pushed up when the engine is idling, and slowly moved in slow gear or slowly lowered to the milling depth when parking. During the milling process, it can only move forward in low gear. Milling operation can only be carried out when the engine is at maximum throttle.

The asphalt pavement that needs to be milled must be free of metal or cement. During operation, pay attention to whether all indicator lights and instruments are normal at any time.
- **Shallow milling** (0-5cm): used for roughening the road surface or treating minor damages, maintaining a constant speed.
- **Deep milling** (more than 5cm): Milling in layers to avoid over-depth milling at a single time, which may cause equipment overload or tool breakage.

- Adjust the walking speed according to the hardness and depth of the material. On hard surfaces, the speed needs to be reduced (usually 1-5 m/min).
- Keep the rotor speed stable (about 200-300 rpm for asphalt pavement, and lower for concrete).
It is strictly forbidden to change gears during driving operation. The machine must be stopped when changing gears, and the speed control handle cannot be placed in the center position. When the milling machine is operating, the operator is strictly prohibited from leaving the post without permission, otherwise the milling drum must be lifted. If an emergency requires stopping, the emergency stop button can be used. The ignition switch should be used for normal shutdown.

- Work in a straight line, avoid sharp turns or snaking, and ensure a smooth milling surface.
- The overlap width of the milling is about 10-15cm to prevent missed milling or step marks.

- **Equipment deviation**: Check whether the tire pressure is consistent, or adjust the track tension.
